1. Your agreement with Trunk
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Trunk website, hosted version control service, dashboard, API, and MCP server (the "Service"), provided by Balearic Labs LLC ("Trunk," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use Trunk on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and "you" includes that organization. A separate written agreement with us takes precedence to the extent it conflicts with these terms. Open-source software remains subject to its applicable license.
2. Accounts and access
Provide accurate account information and keep your credentials, API keys, and agent access secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your accounts and authorized agents, and for choosing appropriate permissions. Notify us promptly if you learn of unauthorized access.
Organization administrators may manage access to repositories, integrations, policies, and content. You are responsible for ensuring that people and agents you authorize follow these terms.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of the code, repositories, and other content you submit to Trunk. You grant us permission to host, copy, process, transmit, and display that content as necessary to provide, secure, and support the Service, including carrying out workflows and integrations you authorize.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit and use your content, including any personal information it contains. These terms do not transfer ownership of your content to us.
4. Agents, automation, and integrations
Trunk can execute actions requested by authorized people and agents, including proposing changes, running checks, and landing code according to configured policies. You are responsible for the agents you connect, the permissions and budgets you assign, and the policies that permit automated actions.
Verification results and agent output can be incomplete or incorrect. Assess changes for your intended use and maintain appropriate review, testing, backups, and recovery procedures. Trunk does not guarantee that a change is safe, correct, or suitable for production.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms. Their availability and behavior may affect integrations, and we are not responsible for services operated by others.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- Violate applicable law or the rights of others, including privacy and intellectual property rights.
- Access accounts, systems, or data without authorization, or bypass access controls, usage limits, or security measures.
- Distribute malicious code, disrupt the Service, or interfere with other users.
- Misrepresent your identity or use the Service for fraudulent or abusive activity.
6. Plans and payment
If you purchase a paid plan, the fees, billing frequency, usage charges, and any renewal terms presented when you order or in a separate agreement apply. You are responsible for authorized usage and applicable taxes. Credits or refunds apply as described in your plan or agreement, or as required by law.
We will communicate changes to paid-plan pricing before they apply to you. Pricing examples and estimates do not replace the terms of your order.
7. Our intellectual property
We and our licensors retain all rights in the Service, including its software, design, and branding, other than your content and materials governed by separate licenses. These terms give you permission to use the Service; they do not transfer ownership of it.
8. Availability, suspension, and termination
We may change or discontinue features. Unless a separate agreement states otherwise, we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Preview or experimental features may change or be withdrawn.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these terms, security risks, unlawful activity, or failure to pay fees when due. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
Keep independent copies of content you need. After termination, access to hosted content may end; retention is described in our Privacy Policy and any applicable customer agreement. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the extent permitted by law, Balearic Labs LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, or removes mandatory consumer rights.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. We will publish the revised terms with an updated date and provide notice of material changes where required. Your continued use after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance, to the extent permitted by law.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
